This project is dedicated to His Divine Grace A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada, who is the eternal source of inspiration behind this venture. His teachings and books are guided by a lifetime of scholarship and enriched by the realisations of a mature practitioner.

He selflessly shared the teachings of the Bhagavad Gita and his love for Krishna by travelling and preaching throughout the world.

We are forever indebted to Srila Prabhupada for being the embodiment of love and compassion as his only meditation in life was to give the mercy of the Most Merciful to one and all.

The seed of The Gita Project was born with the passing of Laku Lall.

Throughout his life, he had a strong spiritual understanding that we are not alone, that God is with us all the time and our greatest blessing is his constant companionship. The conviction of this understanding did not always manifest and like many people, Laku would occasionally become diverted by distractions of this world.

It was during the last phase of his life that Laku showed a remarkable spirit of humility, surrender and deep spiritual realisation. It is often in the midst of adversity that deep reflections can set in motion the desire to begin learning who we really are and who we aspire to be.

This testing time intensified his faith and sense of hope for the future, whatever it would bring, letting everyone around him know that he was happy to face any challenge with God by his side.

His request was a simple one, but one that he chose to practise even during his most difficult time, that everyone should be aware of their spiritual journey and continue on it and so, we place the Bhagavad Gita, making it available to all.
